3T Logistics has appointed a new Sales Director with the remit of continuing to grow the TMS and 4PL business and to facilitate a transparent purchasing process for customers.
Rob Hutton brings over twenty years of experience working in the logistics and TMS sector in a range of customer-facing, commercial, managerial and leadership roles. His most recent position was at Kuehne + Nagel’s Military & Government Business Unit. Prior to that, Rob worked in business development roles within CEVA and TDG’s 4PL division.
Developing customer centric TMS solutions
As part of his new role, Rob aims to ensure the continuing development of innovative, customer-centric TMS and 4PL offerings at the same time as supporting customers in maximising the potential for efficiency and cost savings that 3T’s products offer.
“Having worked across different industry sectors and with market leading organisations, I understand the need to deliver TMS and 4PL propositions that provide customers with tangible value in their supply chains,” comments Rob. “I am excited to be joining 3T with the clear objective of ensuring that customers enjoy the benefits of working with us. We offer true independence in the marketplace and a capability that combines both leading edge products with the ability to provide clear savings through automation, productivity and visibility to our customers.”
Innovation needed in the transport sector
He adds: “3T harness the latest technology and apply it quickly and effectively to a customer’s business. The transport sector as a whole needs more of this innovation if it is to combat some of the long-standing challenges it faces and position itself better for supply chain digitalisation.”
Managing Director Tim Fawkes comments: “Rob’s arrival comes at an exciting time in 3T’s journey as we leverage our cloud-based platform and continue to develop and deliver an exciting roadmap of extended capability. His leadership experience in roles built on a solid transport and warehousing operational background, combined with technological transformation programme expertise, makes Rob the perfect fit for the role of Sales Director.”
