3T Logistics has been nominated for a prestigious industry award in recognition of the company’s work with JCB improving their transport management operations over the past decade.

3T are on the shortlist  for the Logistics Partnership of the Year award organised by the Logistics Leaders Network. To reach the final, 3T had to demonstrate supply chain excellence as a result of working with their client; in this case, JCB, and a third party logistics provider/supplier.

The shortlisting panel was looking for evidence of  improved customer satisfaction, on time delivery and factory/ warehouse output.

Pioneers in logistics

3T’s CEO Steve Twydell comments: “When we pioneered the 4PL model many years ago, we aimed to redefine the business model of managing transport by introducing new technology that brought unprecedented value to our customers. The true unbiased (no assets) 4PL model enabled this, and we have continued to refine our products to become a highly successful 4PL – and more recently a significant SAAS provider.”

3T has been one of the first logistics businesses to introduce artificial intelligence and big data analysis to transport management systems. The company’s digital ecosystem of logistics applications has transformed JCB’s transport operations.

“Working with JCB has helped us to push the normal partner supplier boundaries and come up with even more innovative solutions with real world application,” adds Steve.

 Visibility in the supply chain

The real time management information that 3T’s systems provide has enabled both parties to explore cost efficiencies in areas not normally attributed to transport organisations, from greenhouse gas reporting to  providing dealer communications portals for product visibility.

The Logistics Leaders Network was launched in response to demand within industry for a networking platform to support the drive to encourage young people to choose a career in logistics as well as supporting professionals in strategic logistics development.
