3T Logistics, a global transport management technology vendor and one of Europe’s largest independent fourth-party logistics (4PL) providers, today announced that it is restructuring its business to better drive growth and scalability in a rapidly evolving industry.

The move creates two group companies, 3T Logistics and 3T Technology, which will be part of the newly formed 3T Logistics and Technology Group. The restructured group company provides a unique value proposition to customers by offering a synergistic blend of world-class transport technology and logistics expertise.

The restructuring provides each business unit with the focus and flexibility required to grow and to better service customers. This change also recognises the fact that both parts of the group deliver significant value to each other by being part of the same family of businesses.

According to Steve Twydell, 3T founder and Chairman, “This new business structure will enable 3T to grow and provide customers with a sharper and more reactive set of service offerings. It’s part of our strategic vision to meet future challenges in the ever-changing transportation industry.” The new re-branding and group structure is designed to drive the faster adoption of digital transport management, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing the negative impact of transportation activities on the environment.

3T Logistics (the transport management services arm of the group) will focus on delivering customer value through its logistics services offering, which includes 4PL Transport Management and Transport Transformation services.

3T has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), awarding them their Excellence Award for Freight Transport and stating, “With a range of best-in-class technologies and an innovative 4PL fully managed service, 3T demonstrated an outstanding ability to deliver best practice in the management of freight transport.”

3T Technology will focus on delivering value through its Transport Management Technology suite of services. These include a cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Transport Management System (TMS) platform and a range of transport management applications. 3T received favourable analyst coverage in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems for their technology offering. This represents an incredible achievement because, of the 13 companies from across the world included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, 3T is one of only three companies based in Europe.

UK head-quartered 3T leverages its award-winning, 20-year track record of success in transport management to deliver world-class services to customers around the globe. 3T’s largest customer base is in Europe, although the company has been simultaneously expanding operations in North America and is looking to continue building and developing regional partnerships. 3T also has a strong presence in the aftermarket, automotive, construction, food, retail and packaging industry verticals.

Under the 3T Logistics and Technology Group, Tim Fawkes, Managing Director of 3T, believes they will continue to build on the recognition from both customers and the logistics industry. Fawkes said, “This has been a difficult time for business due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we want to be a leading part of the economic recovery that the global economy needs. Despite the damaging effects of the pandemic, we have been able to continue supporting our global customers and we have recently attracted new ones as we push on with developing our service offering.”

3T Logistics and Technology Group has also just launched a new website (3t-ltg.com) as part of the rebranding. The site offers customers detailed insights into the new groups’ services, along with case studies and information related to alternative transport management solutions for businesses operating in a pandemic-hit economy.
